Fit at home

Exercising at home

We don’t always need heavy-duty fitness equipment to keep our bodies in shape. We’d like to show you a couple of exercises that you can do without any serious apparatus, that everybody can manage and which can also be done with ease at home. Let’s go!

#Stretches

Regular stretching stops our muscles from getting shorter, it boosts our flexibility, and reduces the risk of injury. Because stretching activates and extends our muscles.

#Butt kicks

This is a simple exercise: Simply jog on the spot. Kick up your heels so that they touch your bottom with each step.

#Skipping

Children love skipping rope and it’s also an all-time classic for adults when it comes to endurance training. Skipping for just ten minutes a day is already highly effective.

#Lunges

You’re probably familiar with this exercise as well: the lunge. All the better! But a simple lunge would be too similar. To ramp up endurance go into a lunge and then jump and switch legs.

#Climbing stairs

Yes, fitness can be so simple at times. Even something boring like climbing stairs can be great training – particularly for the bum and calves. Climbing stairs is ideal for warming up the muscles, before a run, say. Go up the stairs at normal speed to start off with. Then increase the difficulty by running up the stairs while pumping your arms energetically. If that’s not enough for you, do ten jumping jacks when you reach the top. Then come back down the stairs with care. Don’t forget to take breaks in between.
